April 2012

Dear Duncan

My name is Marita Morgan and I've just started work at Cerebral Palsy Alliance's Sydney Employment Development Service (SEDS).

Earlier this month, SEDS launched its brand new website - www.seds.com.au - a great resource for both employees with a disability and potential employers.

Having cerebral palsy myself, I understand the challenges many young people face when considering what to do once they've finished school.

Our new website is not only a great place to start researching your post-school options; it also features some success stories which may inspire you in your job search.

The aim of our SEDS teams is to find the best job match between employer and employee to ensure long term placements.

So, if you are on the threshold of entering the workforce or a parent keen to find information, then please make sure you you visit www.seds.com.au.

Plus, if you know any companies that would be interested in employing people with a disability, please give us a call on 02 9413 3400.

All the best,

Marita

NDIS Rally - We Need You

To help promote the need for a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Cerebral Palsy Alliance is encouraging everyone to join the upcoming Rally on April 30.

The rally will start at noon at the Allphones Arena, Olympic Boulevard, Sydney Olympic Park.

The aim is to host the biggest rally of people with disabilities ever held in Australia.

Please spread the word to your friends, families and colleagues - the more people who attend, the more support we can show and make the NDIS real.
